In English we will be writing Egyptian adventure stories, explanation texts and non chronological   reports. We are learning an Egyptian Rap as our fluency text and our Listen Up book for the half term is `Fing` by David Walliams, which we read in depth and use skills such as retrieval, inference, summarising, using our imagination and linking ideas.

In Maths we will be learning time, money, shape and angles, fractions, mass, length and statistics.

In RE we are learning about Judaism. We will be learning about the Shabbat, the synagogue, identifying symbols and objects, learning about Moses and the exodus from Egypt and the Sedar meal.

Our PE focus is `Invasion` which will cover ball skills and team games.

In French our topic is animals. This links in with some of the names of sacred Egyptian animals. We will be learning the names of different animals and putting them into sentences.

In PSHE we will be identifying risks in the home and the wider areas and how to keep safe.

In Science we will be learning about light and dark, shade and shadows and how we need light to see.

Our new song in music is The Dragon Song. We will be learning the song and words and will eventually be accompanying the song with musical instruments

Computing this half term involves sending and receiving emails. We will be using Purple Mash to do this.

This is going to be a very exciting half term. I hope you will continue to support your children in their learning.
